He has specialized for over twenty years in counseling men who are unhealthy relationship partners, helping them make lasting changes. JAC Patrissi

JAC Patrissi has more than twenty years of experience specializing in creative responses for survivors of abuse. She is the founder and former director of the Vermont Victim Assistance Academy. Patrissi consults nationally on system responses to domestic and sexual violence victims as well as victims of other violent crimes. She has trained several thousand professionals and community members on responding to domestic and sexual violence. Her writing has been published by the federal Office for Victims of Crime and the National Center for Victims of Crime. Patrissi facilitates the Growing A New Heart retreat series for women healing from destructive or sexually abusive relationships. She is the former owner of a spiritual retreat center in the foothills of Vermont. She now supervises her local community advocacy program and writes regularly about relationship issues on her blog at www.GrowingANewHeart.com. She is a survivor of domestic and sexual violence who lives happily with her family in New England.
